Look Up Child

Have you ever felt like you are stuck in a situation that you just can not seem to get out of? 

It's like being trapped in a small room with the four walls closing in on you.  There are no windows and there is no door and no matter how hard you hit and kick and scream at these walls they just don't seem to give way.  Written on the walls of this room are words like "you will never get through this", "this is going to be the end of you" and you start feeling like there is simply no hope...  

I currently find myself in a situation like this again.  The last time I felt like this God revealed a truth to me that I would like to share with you today.  This tiny little room has no ceiling and all you have to do is to look up.

The truth is that God hears all our prayers.  The words written on the walls of that small room are in fact all lies from the enemy, trying to break you.  Written in God's Word we find the truth.  When the enemy says you will never get through this, Philippians 4:13 says "I can do all this through him who gives me strength".  When the enemy says this is going to be the end of you, Isaiah 43:19 says "I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland".  And when it feels like all hope is gone, Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".

The truth is, if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, He has the final say over your life.  And no matter how impossible a situation may seem, "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).  

So I say to you, look up child!
