Is it well with your soul?

Yesterday I had a tough day. I’m having a tough season but yesterday I was really down and depressed and just didn’t feel like myself. In the car one of my favorite songs came on: It is well with my soul. Gently the Holy Spirit started ministering to me. The reality is I have a lot to be thankful for, for I have a treasure in heaven. All the difficulties we experience on earth is temporary, if Jesus is your Lord and Saviour you have an eternal reward waiting for you in heaven.

This makes me want to pose a question to you, is it well with your soul? If you should die today and reach the gates of heaven and the angel at the gate asks you why he should let you in what will your answer be? If it is “because I was a good person”, I’m sorry to tell you that that is not enough. The only reason to make it to heaven is because you believe Jesus died for you and on the third day rose again. It’s not enough to merely know He lived and died. The devil knows He lived and died. You have to believe and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.

Philippians 3:20 says “our citizenship is in heaven”. Where is your citizenship? Is it well with your soul? Will I see you one day in heaven? Don’t delay, accept Jesus today. Just say this prayer “Lord Jesus, I believe you lived, I believe you died and I believe you rose on the third day. Come into my life as my Lord and Saviour. Amen”.
